Today is Fast Sunday. The first Sunday of each month our Church holds Fast Sunday. We are encouraged to go without food or water for 2 meals and then donate the money we would have spent on those two meals to the poor. Fasting also allows us to come closer to the Lord, to show our devotion to something important to us. We are encouraged to fast with a purpose. Today I am fasting for Charity towards my family and others. I want to be able to love all those I interact with, to offer forgiveness to those who have offended me and to love everyone.
We took all the decorations down yesterday. Derek was great and helped me get the decorations down and put in the attic. Even my son and his cousin helped us put the boxes in the attic.

"having seen many afflictions in the course of my days, nevertheless, having been highly favored of the Lord in all my days;"
Very
Positive statement. Nephi did have it hard, life was not easy, but He
knew that the Lord had helped him throughout His life. I see the hand
of the Lord in my life daily. I know I am highly favored of the Lord
and I am so grateful for that.
Infinite Atonement (Illustrated Edition,) by Tad R. Callister
pg. 16. Pres. Howard W. Hunter, "As we come to understand His mission and the atonement which He wrought, we will desire to live more like Him."--This is what I want and why I choose to study the Atonement.
pg. 16. "Every attempt to reflect upon the Atonement, to study it, to embrace it, to express appreciation for it, however small or feeble it may be, will kindle the fires of faith and work its miracle towards a more Christlike life . . . And thus, as we study Christ's life and live his teachings, we become more like him.--I look forward to becoming more like Christ and have hope that I can change and become better.
