America

Daddy saw this Luna Moth as they were leaving for school.  Everyone jumped out of the car to get a better look.     Book of Mormon, 3 Nephi 5:1 "1  And now behold, there was not a living soul among all the people of the Nephites who did doubt in the least the words of all the holy prophets who had spoken; for they knew that it must needs be that they must be fulfilled." Wow! That is amazing that they ALL knew.  I think about our country and wish the same statement could be said.  I do think that when the Twin Towers fell in 2011 our country turned to God.  It was not the whole country but a lot of it.  And it wasn't very much longer until we forgot again.  Just as the Nephites are about to forget again.  I am just so disappointed in our country right now.  With the gay marriage ruling I feel that our country has turned.  That we a...

Butterfly/Armor of God

Samantha was able to get a butterfly to land on her hand.  You can see it right on the tip of her fingers near her nose. The butterfly hung around.  It even came and visited daddy and Michael.  It was so fun as it allowed us to pick it up and allowed us to hold it.  This was on Friday.  It was a fabulous day.  Derek had returned from Ireland the night before and was able to just hang out at home on Friday.  We went to Elizabeth's drama class play that afternoon and then we all went to the pool that evening for swim team.  I don't think Derek got a break from the kids for the 4 hours we were there.  He is a wonderful husband and father. Book of Mormon, Alma 46:8 "8  Thus we see how quick the children of men do forget the Lord their God, yea, how quick to do iniquity, and to be led away by the evil one." I d...

Be Still, My Soul/Depression

Be Still, My Soul 31243, Hymns, Be Still, My Soul, no. 124 1. Be still, my soul: The Lord is on thy side; With patience bear thy cross of grief or pain. Leave to thy God to order and provide; In ev'ry change he faithful will remain. Be still, my soul: Thy best, thy heav'nly Friend Thru thorny ways leads to a joyful end. 2. Be still, my soul: Thy God doth undertake To guide the future as he has the past. Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake; All now mysterious shall be bright at last. Be still, my soul: The waves and winds still know His voice who ruled them while he dwelt below. 3. Be still, my soul: The hour is hast'ning on When we shall be forever with the Lord, When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone, Sorrow forgot, love's purest joys restored. Be still, my soul: When change and tears are past, All safe and blessed we shall meet at last. While hiking outside of Ashville we came across this beautiful butterfly.  I really wanted...
