Two year olds/Light

Two year olds . . . what more can I say.  I turn my back for 3 min and this is what I come back to.  Got to love it!! Sunday the Relief Society lesson was good.  The sister talked about how when she was a teenager she spent every weekend at home.  That her friends never invited her to parties because she didn't drink.  She even considered drinking just so she could feel included.  Years later she met a friend from high school and confided in the friend how no one wanted her around.  The friend said, "Don't you know?  Don't you know that the reason we didn't want you around was because we felt ashamed and guilty and didn't want to do that in front of you?"  This sister said she was stunned.  She couldn't believe that her standards that she almost compromised were that infulential to those around her and it gave her a different persepctive. She then asked one of the girls that has just graduated from High School to tell what she did ...

Time/Teaching by the Spirit

As I was driving the kids to school the other day I saw this pretty pattern on my window made by the condensation.  I am trying to take more time for my kids.  The beginning of the week I was very distratcted and didn't even do my 20 min. with each one after school.  But then my cleaning lady came and reset my house and I feel so free.  Yesterday I was able to get all my little routines done and other things on my list as well as things I have been wanting to do and then when the kids got home I was able to put all of my attention on them until it was time to eat.  I felt that was a true blessing.  That is why I am doing Flylady, to have more time with my kids.  It is amazing how doing a little everyday really does free you and give you more time. Yoga/Rejoice

Yesterday I couldn't go to my regular Yoga class so instead I found an online video with yoga for children and did it with Michael and Samantha.  Samantha did great and worked hard.  Michael would do it for a few minutes and then get board.  Sometimes he would climb on me and say "hosy" (horse) and other times I would put him into a pose.  When Maddie had to exercises for her 30 min. Samantha suggested the video and I watched as the two girls did yoga together.  The last 3 minutes when they were relaxing I had Samantha, Maddie, and John Derek all sitting cris cross apple sauce with their hands at their heart.  I took a mental picture as I watched my children doing something I like to do and enjoying it. This morning Michael kept coming to me "go gut."  I would as if he was saying go gurt (a yogurt that I give him) and he would reply no and repeat, "go gut" again.  Finally he went and got my yoga mat, brought it to me and said, "go gut....

Great Kids/Remembering

John Derek was "branded" into the Wolf Pack Elizabeth received 3 honors for first quarter. Chorus, Straight A's, and having Pride in her work. Root Beer!! When I was a little girl my family would make homemade root beer.  I loved watching the dry ice smoke and bubble.  It is fun to see my kids doing the same thing that I used to do.  (We did have to remind Michael to not each the container) Patience   Elder Neal A. Maxwell   "We define the veil as the border between mortality and eternity; it is also a film of forgetting which covers the memories of earlier experiences. This forgetfulness will be lifted one day, and on that day we will see forever—rather than “through a glass darkly” ( 1 Cor. 13:12 )." This is an answer to a question I have had. I have wondered if we will have our memories from before this...
