Cute Kids/Men Need Women

One Day Michael and I were discussing how much longer he could watch TV.  I was saying things like 3 more minutes and he was trying to negotiate with me.  He would put up 4 fingers then 5 then realizing that was not long enough he lifted all ten fingers.  Then he came over put his 10 fingers next to his 10 toes and said, "This many."  What a smart little kid. Samantha LOVES Harry Potter.  We are getting ready to celebrate her birthday and she really wants a Harry Potter party and is working hard to see it be done.  In school she had to make a country and of course she chose Harry Potter.  Here is her map of Hogwarts, the Black Lake, Hogsmed etc.  I thought she did a really good job. I have frequently struggled with the role of women in the Church.  I think it stems from

Derek/Revelation for Women

I cannot say it enough!  I LOVE MY HUSBAND!!!  He is truly amazing.  Last night he came home cheerful and upbeat.  And no matter what hit him he regrouped and continued to be positive and happy.  I went into full depression and we had several moody people but he kept his calm and worked with us.  Never criticizing only loving and helping.  He is so good.  I am so thankful for Him.  I am so grateful to a kind and loving Heavenly Father who gave this man to me.  Life is so much better because of Him.   I love these two pictures.  Michael wanted the kite and Derek could see that I was going to take a picture so he knelt down just for me and was helping Michael.  Right after I snapped this picture Michael let go of the kite and it went flying off.  All we could do was laugh.   Book of Mormon, Alma 32:23 "he imparteth his word by angels unto men, yea, not only men but women also."

Three Bears/Stewardship

Over the weekend we went to a place called The Three Bears.  They had lots of fun for us all to do.  Despite a case of the grumpy's when we arrived by the end everyone had fun. Daddy and John Derek after their paddle boat ride. M. Russell Ballard, The Sacred Responsibilities of Parenthood As clearly stated in the proclamation on the family, men and women, though spiritually equal, are entrusted with different but equally significant roles. These roles complement each other. Men are given stewardship over the sacred ordinances of the priesthood. To women, God gives stewardship over bestowing and nurturing mortal life, including providing physical bodies for God’s spirit children and guiding those children toward a knowledge of gospel truths. Pool Golf/Sariah

I was looking in a catalog yesterday and saw a game that I really wanted to play.  It was the game of pool played with golf balls and golf clubs.  I was so excited that I decided to make my own version with things I had around the house.  My son John Derek helped me.  We gathered as many small balls that were of simmilar size as we could find.  We were able to get 11.  We then put tape around half of them for the striped balls. Then we went and got yogurt containers that I had keep for just such a need and cut a U shape in them for the golf holes.  We made six of them. We then went in my sons room and set up the game. Away we played.  I hate to admit it but he did win.  We did have fun and it was good to spend some time together on a cold winter day.
