Yesterday I had Bunion Surgery on my foot.  My feet have been bothering me for years.  They got pretty bad last year and then I broke my right foot in July.  After the break healed my bunion really started to act up and I had a very difficult time walking and doing daily activities.  It was also causing more problems with my feet and I truly feel it was the reason I broke my foot in the first place, I was not walking right. Frustrated I asked Derek for a blessing in March.  In the blessing he said that I needed to head the words of my doctor.  I had been feeling for a while that I should have this bunion surgery done but just didn't want to do it.  My doctor had told me that bunion  surgery was an option if I wanted it.  I knew it would be at least 2 weeks of not driving so I called my sweet mom and asked if she could come out the end of March and help me out.  She reminded me that Christina was having a baby at the end of March...

Michael and I drove down to Derek's work for lunch.  On the way there Michael fell asleep.  When I arrived Derek looked in the car and started laughing, this is what he looked like.  Such a cutie!!  The next day I was driving Elizabeth to school and she wasn't in a great mood.  I said a prayer and asked Heavenly Father to help me know how to engage her and cheer her up.  I immediately thought of the photo of Michael and showed it to her.  She started to laugh, but not just because he is cute but because he is doing "her pose." A very proud Samantha!!  Samantha has been running with a group called Girl on the Run.  It is a great program.  They meet twice a week and work toward the goal of walk/running a 5K.  So this year at the "Raindeer Romp" our whole family supported her and ran with her.  She was the first person in our family to cross the finish line in 49 min.  We were very proud of her. I went to the grocery store with Michael and Maddison.  We piled and piled the food into the cart.  When buying groceries for 7 people it feels like you are buying the whole store! When we got to check out the cashier couldn't fit it all into one cart so she split it in two.  I took the two kids out with the first cart and started loading it into my car.  Then the debate started: do I leave my kids in the car while I walk in and get the other cart?  Or do I have them both come in with me?  Before I answered this question there was a woman at my side asking if she could get my other cart for me.  (She had seen me going through the line with Michael screaming and Maddie "trying to help.")  I was delighted to take her up on her offer.  She brought out the full cart and even took the empty one back for me.  I whispered to Maddie, "I think she is an Angel sent from Heavenly Father to help us."  Maddie smiled and responded, "Let's say a p...
