“Lord, Is It I?”
"well-being. If our weaknesses and shortcomings remain obscured in the shadows, then the redeeming power of the Savior cannot heal them and make them strengths. Ironically, our blindness toward our human weaknesses will also make us blind to the divine potential that our Father yearns to nurture within each of us.
souls and see ourselves as He sees us?
May I suggest that the holy scriptures and the talks given at general conference are an effective mirror we can hold up for self-examination."
I
love that not only does he present the problem he immediately presents
an answer. I think that every human being has weaknesses and
shortcomings that need to be redeemed by the Savior. I love the fact
that these weaknesses can be healed and made into strengths. I do
believe that these weaknesses can make us blind and holding on to them
will keep us from our Heavenly Father. It is when we are strong enough
to allow the Savior to remove them, no matter how painful it is, we will
find ourselves free and our load lightened and wonder why we didn't
allow Him to take it away sooner. Then when we can see the person that
the Lord knew we were we will rejoice and be grateful and not look back
wishing we were someone different. I am excited to see who I will be
when my task here is done. To see the woman the the Lord sees and to
know I have achieved it. I am ready for the next step and put my faith
and trust in my Heavenly Father. I know it will be painful and hard but
I know it is time. I know eventually it will bring peace to my family
and joy to all around me.
