Friday evening Derek and John Derek were at a camp out for the Father's and Son's. I had been busily running people and things all over and was ready to settle down. Michael had been in the car with me and needed to get out some energy.
I gave Maddie and Michael a ride in the wagon and then we went in the back yard to play. We have an awesome play set that my husband built when we moved in. It is right off the deck and has swings and a twisty slide and a rock wall and more. I got distracted by the weeds growing in my garden and just allowed the two to play.
Then I heard a eery cry and then silence. I turned around to find Michael and he was no where to be seen. I ran and found him at the bottom of the 7 foot climbing wall face down in the dirt but crying. He was okay. A little scratch on his nose but miraculously fine. After texting Derek we decided it would be best to take him to the ER just in case. I called my sister in law asking if she would just be by her phone to help Elizabeth as I was leaving her to babysit.
When I arrived at the ER I saw my sister in law entering the hospital. She said, "You sounded like you needed a hug." That was so sweet of her, I did really need a hug. She kept me company. It was nice to have someone there to pass the time. Michael slept as it was now late. The doctor said he was fine and not to worry. I felt so blessed. I truly feel that an Angel helped him fall so that he did not get hurt. I am amazed at how many times Angels help us out. More than I can even guess I am sure. It is wonderful to have a Heavenly Father who loves us and takes care of us from protecting my 18 month old son as he falls 7 feet to a sister in law who can calm my fears.

Book of Mormon, Mosiah 4:20-21
21 And now, if God, who has created you, on whom you are dependent for your lives and for all that ye have and are, doth grant unto you whatsoever ye ask that is right, in faith, believing that ye shall receive, O then, how ye ought to impart of the substance that ye have one to another."
My
Grandfather and Grandmother are amazing. They are constantly giving,
constantly helping, constantly in the service of our Heavenly Father.
They are the best example I know of imparting their substance to others.
I feel like in my life I get so caught up in what I need and usually
what I want that I am more reserved about what I give to others.
When my grandparents were first married they were poor and struggling just like most of us when we are first married. But then they were asked by their priesthood leader to give a young man some money for his schooling. I don't know how much they gave but I do know that the priesthood leader was amazed at how much money they gave and how they had given more than anyone else who had been asked for money even those with a more substantial income.
My grandparents have continued to seek out ways to help the Lord's work. They give generously to the Church and to the missionary fund. Because they have been so generous the Lord has been generous to them. Their business does well and they are able to live comfortably and continue to help others.
Even though I have seen their good example I still have a hard time giving monetarily. I am trying to be better, and I should have faith that the Lord will still bless me.
