I found this post in my drafts from last year but it was so sweet I had to share it.
I was tired and feeling a little sorry for myself. Derek took the girls to a Daddy Daughter party at the church and I was putting the three youngest to bed. John Derek was saying his evening prayer and I was hoping he would finish so I could go relax. Then he said, "Bless Heavenly Father to be happy and Jesus. I had never thought of that before. I have never prayed for my Heavenly Father in the hope that He is okay. He gets a lot of grief from me as well as the rest of the world. Is he happy? Am I doing what I should so that He can happy? I am grateful for the prayer of my sweet son. I do believe he has a great relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus, he certainly teaches me about how I should interact with them and how I should trust them.
