Samantha/Blessings

Samantha was in her 4th grade play yesterday.  It was awesome to see her so happy and enjoying it so much.  She did a great job.  She was not shy, she stood up and delivered her lines, she didn't even need a micraphone because she could project her voice so well, she smiled and was genuenly happy.

Samantha had really wanted a lead part.  She worked really hard to memorize her lines.  She was the only kid in her class who go to be on stage for the whole play.  When the kids tried out the performed in front of their peers and then the peers voted.  Samantha won hands down.  Her teacher said she was by far the best and that no one came close to doing as well as she did.  She is such a joy and it is so fun to see her do something that she enjoys so much.

14 Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal justly, judge righteously, and do good continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your reward; yea, ye shall have mercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again.
15 For that which ye do send out shall return unto you again, and be restored; therefore, the word restoration more fully condemneth the sinner, and justifieth him not at all.

When we do good we will have good rewarded unto us.  Heavenly Father is continually blessing us as we do His will.  I am amazed at how well my day goes if I have my prayers and scripture study first thing.  Things are clearer and easier to do.  Now when I am tempted in the morning to sleep in I remind myself how much better my day will go if I get up and have my time with Heavenly Father.

He has also blessed me with such a great husband.  Last night we went and saw a movie and I came out saying how I didn't like the romantic relationship in the show.  That I want everyone to end up happy.  I am so grateful that I was blessed to "end up happy."  Have my happily ever after.  Of course there are difficult times but there are a lot of wonderful times and I wouldn't trade Derek for anything.  I am so blessed, rewarded good for good.  I am so grateful for my Heavenly Father's goodness to me.

Elizabeth would like the baby to have brown hair so that more kids in the family would look like her. Then the conversation turned to names. Here are some of their favorites: Elizabeth wants: Sarah, Eva, Evelyn, or Eve, and if it is a boy Phineas or Ferb Samantha wants: Sam or Ammon John Derek wants: Johnny Maddison wants: Cinderella and Johnny So here we go. Taking on a new adventure of 5 children with faith that we are following our Father in Heaven's desires for our family. In this last conference Pres. P...

First day of school August 2014

First day of school!!  Eveyone was so excited.  Especially little Maddie.  Since March she has been asking me when she would get to go to kindergarten.  She was tired of preschool and wanted to be a big girl.  We told her she would have to wait until after swim team.  For about the last month she has asked everday when swim team would be over.  Finally we had our last swim even, the weekend, and school. For Kindergarten the first week back the kids only come one day so that the teachers can evaluate them and put the classes together.  Maddie's day was Monday which worked out perfect so that everyone could start on the same day. As Maddie got ready she and Samantha were suck like glue.  Samantha being the doting big sister and helping her out with lunch, backpack, and clothes.  We all walked into school and everyone was eager to help drop Maddie off.  When we got to the room the teacher looked at her and said, "Maddie! are you su...
